THIS IS A MESSAGE TO MY FELLOW RP-ERS:

I just had a long talk with Matty, and I really want to speak my mind for once, so please excuse me.

I'm not in the chat as often as a lot of you, so I'm not there to see it, but obviously, there's a lot of drama that goes on. Also, apparently, "cliques" have been formed.

...Seriously, guys?
Um, this just kind of fails. We're not in school; we're not here because we have to be. We're here to have fun, right? And as childish as that sounds, it's basically what it boils down to.
It's one thing to have certain people that you're close to, but it shouldn't bias your judgement. I've seen people I personally like a lot doing and saying things that made me ashamed for them. We're not children, guys. We can follow simple rules and know what is and isn't okay.

I've seen a lot of flat-out rudeness, too, which just baffles me. If you can't control your anger to that extent, isn't it better to just leave, instead of sticking around to duke it out? And think before you speak: if it's something that is potentially hurtful, think again before saying it. Even if it is just a joke. And if you do upset someone, apologize; don't keep pushing them until they get really angry. That's immature and unnecessary. We're all old enough to know how to own up to our mistakes and say sorry.

If you really must argue with someone, you should take it somewhere private. Because by making a spectacle of yourself, you are only being a bother to everyone else. The rest of us don't care about your drama; we're just trying to enjoy the rp without having the mood ruined by hostility. 

If you are one of the people who gets into these arguments, please recognize that YOU are part of the problem. No matter how much it may seem that you are right (and believe me, I know how hard it is to back down when you feel justified), you are not always right, and you will not always get your way. But if you try to contribute to keeping things peaceful, there will be no need to even feel that way, because everyone will get along anyways.

As for me, I'm not going to stay quiet the next time something happens; I'm going to try to help settle the argument. What about you? Would you rather be the person causing problems or would you rather be mature about it?

Also, on a more personal level, I want to help Matty if I can. It's not fair for her to always be the bad guy. I feel that she's been in the right all along, and deserves some recognition for that.

In closing, this is all just my humble opinion; only suggestions. But I hope everyone takes it to heart, because if the admins have to start cracking down with more rules and bannings, it won't be fun for anyone.
